July 31, 2009I’m finally posting some pictures from when I did a swap with my photog friend Robin. Enjoy!

A colloquial term used in digital photography to describe the habit of checking every photo on the camera display immediately after capture.

Last night Shawn came over. We hadn’t seen him in a while so the boys were esctatic. On a whim I managed to get Job to put his arm over Shawn’s shoulder and got these gems:

Inspired I decided to try to see if I can get all three of the little monsters:

Yay!
Meet Fang

He lives in my garage and is about 2 inches long. OK, that may be exagerating…but he is huge!

I had Aaron spot me (not that I’m afraid of spiders or anything). “If he goes in for the attack let me know!”

Anyone know what type of spider he is…in case I DON’T want him living in my garage?
ETA…after some sleuthing we think its a Wolf Spider!
Our friends Bill and Susie had their baby girl last Saturday. We met up at the capitol for her newborn session this morning. The boys were excited because they always ask to come with me to my sessions and I always tell them no (need to stay professional!). I figured because they are friends and the boys haven’t seen their buddy Jake for a few months I might as well bring them along. Luckily they were really good, had fun terrorizing poor Jake, and I got some great shots. Welcome to the world baby Karli!

Its tiring being a model!

Big brother is just so proud!

Every year Aaron and I volunteer at the Grape and Gourmet. Its this big wine tasting event that’s not cheap to attend. So we empty spit buckets and fill water jugs for part of the time, and eat and drink for the remainder. We also get free tickets to the state fair…so all in all its worth it.

We had the two best vendors in our area…Cupcake Craving

And Fat Cat Scones…yum!

Yesterday we headed out to the Yolo Basin Wildlife Area to explore and hunt geocaches.
Job was on point

Jerah was not as amused

I thought these flowers were way cool

The bees liked them too

Even the dragonflies came out to play.

Last night I met up with a photographer friend. She did some family pictures for me and I did some headshots for her.

I don’t have the pictures she did for my family yet (as it was just last night!) but she did take a few of me with my camera at the end. And now I remember why I am behind the camera and not in front. Truely frightening in pictures.

Oh well. I still can’t wait to see what she did for the family shots! I’ll share some here when I get them!
I hope everyone had a happy fourth!

Job somehow managed to sweet talk his swim instructors to stay an extra 20 mins after class so they could jump off the diving boards again…luckily this time I had my camera!
Job needs help…not the bravest of boys.

Jerah has no fear though!
