A long overdue update. I was doing good for a while there too! The boys got sick and rain came back to visit for a while…made for not a whole lot of interest in taking photos. Today though, was gorgeous! I gave in early this morning and succumbed to the pressure of Elmo demands before breakfast. Stealing away for a bit I happily learned of pinkletoes’ long awaited release of her welcome packet template…something I’ve been needing to work on, especially now that I am starting to book sessions for the spring (thanks for the referral Kristi and Erik!). We spent the rest of the day outdoors, playing in the backyard and meeting Shawn and his daddy at the park. Came home to a tv free evening of new tunes and rough housing. Over all not too shabby of a day! Anyway, what am I doing sitting here yaking away? Its not one of THOSE blogs! On to the pictures!

The boys got a ton of art supplies for their birthday. We decided to set them up outside with some paint and let them go wild.

So dumb!! Yesterday the boys turned two so I decided to take their pictures today to celebrate. I set up the bee and soft box, put the 9′ long backdrop on the stand (quite a feat for one person), moved furniture and was ready to go…until I remembered the battery in the camera is dead. No worries, I’ll recharge and take the pics after they wake from their nap…wrong! The charger is no where to be found. Aaron is picking me up a new one after searching all morning without luck. Crazy because it never leaves the same spot. Sorry no pictures…just a vent. I’ll try to get them done tomorrow after work (if they are in a good mood), or wednesday morning. Wait for me!

Went to the park today with some friends. It wasnt the best time of day for taking photographs but I really wanted to get some shots of the boys so I could update the blog. So I took a cue from Randy and found a nice spot underneath the play structure.

Here you can kind of get an idea of the lighting I was dealing with. I also decided to play a bit and went vintage with some texture.
