Anyone who knows me know that I HATE sunflowers. They really creep me out. Unfortunately this time of year they are everywhere! I pass several fields of them on the way to and from work. After the boys went to bed tonight I decided to try and capture them in all their sadness.

This one pretty much sums it up for me. Doesn’t it just look so sad?

Got the camera today! Woot! Expect the blog to be getting a bit more interesting than its been this past week. So far I’m loving it. It is taking a bit to adjust to the new controls but I like how it feels. This camera is bigger, heavier, and just all around more solid. Instead of a click I get a click!

So was it worth the wait?

So the 30D is sitting in a trailer in West Sacramento with about 1000 other packages. I tried to convince the husband to search it out for me but he refused!! I’d spend half a day sifting through boxes for him!! Ok, maybe not. So the plan is to go over there Monday morning and pick it up bright an early before it gets put on a truck for delivery. Then we charge the battery on the drive to Angel Island. The next post SHOULD have pictures! Woot!

Yesterday was our fourth wedding aniversary. Since there have been requests for more pictures I’ll post a few that miss Bev took at our wedding!

Anyway, I can’t believe that my guilt trip in the last post worked! Thanks for the comments guys!

Is it bad that I check my tracking info at least 30 times a day? UPS hasn’t updated it since tuesday morning at 2:53. All I know is that the camera is between here and Sacaucus, NJ. I am lost without my camera!

So I know that there are more people than just Shannon, Dallas and April reading this blog. Post comments people! Let me know you are there! Especially if I’m always commenting on your blog (you know who you are). I know this thing isn’t very exciting at the moment so after monday when it starts to pick up again I better be hearing from people!!

On a side note, did you know that “wherefore art thou” actually means “why are you”? Most people get it wrong. I just wanted to point that out because even though I used it incorrectly in the title…I still know what it means.

That is when the new camera arrives. Can I make it that long? Hopefully Aaron can pulls some strings at work and get it to me sooner

I wasn’t able to take any pictures today (actually, I took some on the ol’ P&S but who wants to see those?) so I’m pulling a few from the archives in honor of Father’s Day!

Two big things going on over here. I have my FIL’s 430ex (its a flash) on extended loan for a while! I’m more of a natural light kind of girl but there are times when you need to use a flash…so I’ve been practicing on not making my flash pictures too flashy. For example:

The other big news is that my camera is upgrading! I LOVED the XTi and it did me good…but after it got knocked from a chair last sunday the focus went to hell. Luckily I bought it at Costco and kept every little thing that came with it. I was surprised when they gave me a full refund! So I took the money and upgraded to the 30D body. In the mean time I am cameraless until next week. Its been shipped…but until UPS updates the shipping info I don’t know exactly which day it will get here. I’ll probably be posting pictures from the archives until then.

Its the hardest thing trying to get pictures of BOTH babies TOGETHER. I’ve been working my butt off the last few weeks trying to get some for their Grandma. I surprised myself today looking through my organizer to see that I actually managed to get a few! Here are two (none including the ones I already posted off course).

Unfortunately with all of these the focus isn’t sharp. Oh the bain of my existence!! They are cute nonetheless (which according to Aaron is more important that in focus).
